Born From a Need for Scientific Empowerment
In Bangladesh and developing regions, passionate young students often face significant hurdles in accessing advanced scientific laboratory equipment, mentorship in scientific research methodologies, and opportunities to publish scholarly work without predatory fees.
Scientific Skills was founded to solve this dilemma. Rather than waiting for opportunities, a cohort of youth leaders, student researchers, and supportive academic mentors formed an organization dedicated to democratizing scientific training.
Key Organizational Milestones
The Inception: Youth Science Circles
Scientific Skills originated as a passionate collective of university science students and young researchers determined to make scientific literature, research methods, and lab techniques accessible to secondary and higher secondary learners.
Formalization & Nationwide Outreach
Expanded into structured departmental divisions. Organized regional science workshops, research writing webinars, and STEM literacy sessions across Dhaka, Chittagong, and rural districts.
Launch of Scientific Skills Publication
Recognizing that student researchers lacked dedicated avenues for publishing high-quality scientific monographs, Scientific Skills Publication was established with double-blind peer review and DRM-secured digital distribution.
Unified Platform & Digital Knowledge Hub
Integrated all youth organizational activities, membership portals, event registrations, and the academic e-book reader into a unified platform to serve thousands of scholars nationwide.
